More water problems in Trim as pipe bursts; Irish Water repairs in Gormanston as well

Irish Water says it is working with Meath County Council to carry out urgent repairs to restore water supply to customers in Kildalkey Road, Trim and surrounding areas following a burst water main. Crews are working to repair the burst as quickly and as safely as possible.

Customers in Kildalkey Road, Elder Grove, Pine Brooks, Avondale Drive, Castle Abbey and surrounding areas may experience discoloured water, low water pressure and water outages until 3pm today, Thursday 15 April, while the repairs are underway. Once the repairs are successfully completed, normal water supply will begin to be restored. Full water supply may take three hours to return as water refills the network but it is important to continue to follow the HSE guidance on hand-washing.

Irish Water is encouraging customers to conserve water while these essential repairs are underway. There are ways to conserve water that will not impact on hygiene or handwashing. Simple water conservation efforts can have a big impact on reducing demand on the supply such as not running taps needlessly, taking showers instead of baths and to postpone using dishwashers and washing machines where possible.

Irish Water also is working to carry out urgent repairs to restore water supply to customers in Gormanston and surrounding areas following a burst water main there. Crews are working to repair the burst as quickly and as safely as possible.

Customers in Gormanston Road, Stamullen, The Grange, Gormanston, Irishtown and surrounding areas may experience discoloured water, low water pressure and water outages until 4pm today, Thursday 15 April, while the repairs are underway. Once the repairs are successfully completed, normal water supply will begin to be restored.
