Trainer Pat Martin on the mark at Leopardstown this evening

Pat Martin winner for Ardee owner at Leopardstown

Meath trainer Pat Martin made a worthwhile visit to Leopardstown for the last race on the card tody after Wee Pablo made it from second-reserve to a starting place at 10am this morning.

Wee Pablo duly landed the concluding 45-65 handicap by more than two lengths for top apprentice Dylan Browne McMonagle to give the trainer his first win of the 2021 flat season.

It was a first run on grass for the four-year-old which had four outings at Dundalk, the last one three weeks ago, in the tank.

After opening at 28/1 Wee Pablo was returned at 14/1.

It was a welcome change of luck for the Meath trainer who has had a number of placed efforts in the last week.

Wee Pablo's owner is from Ardee.
