Tiger Roll aiming to Bowl out the opposition

Tiger Roll will return to Aintree on Thursday on the opening day of the three-day Grand National Festival to bid for Grade One Betway Bowl Chase with Jack Kennedy on board for the first time since 2017.

Kennedy has previously won with Tiger Roll at Ballinrobe and Kilbeggan and the 11-year-old will tackle Aintree on Thursday after bypassing yesterday's Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse.

Tiger Roll will be bidding for a third win at the LIverpool track after back-to-back wins in the Grand National in 2018 and 2019.

The Tiger won the Glenfarclas Cross-Country Chase at Cheltenham last month.

Tiger Roll will be opposed by eight rivals that include 2018 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Native River.

Also lining up are Clan Des Obeaux, winner of the King George VI Chase in 2018 and 2019, Waiting Patiently runner-up in this season’s King George and winner of the Ascot Chase in 2018, Clondaw Castle, Militarian, Mister Fisher and Real Steel.

The Grade 1 race is over a distance of the three miles and one furlong.
