Andrea's inspirational performance ahead of World Down Syndrome Day

Ahead of World Down Syndrome Day, Andrea Buckley wanted to share this beautiful piano piece with you all.

The talented Moynalvey woman has been studying piano with Lisa Rooney Smith from Kilmessan for the last 25 years and all the hard work has paid off and her rendition of Concerto Number 1 in B Flat Minor by Tchaikovsky is simply beautiful.

World Down Syndrome Day (March 21st) is the annual opportunity for the global DS community to come together with Down syndrome, families, advocates, professionals and organisations observing WDSD with a range of activities.

The date for WDSD being the 21st day of the 3rd month, was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome.
