Jab joy for Nobber's over-85s
There was wonderful scenes in Nobber Medical Practice this week as vaccines rolled out in rural county Meath to our over-85s.
"It was the best day in the practice for an entire year, " said GP, Dr Sandra Dodson.
"All out over-85s have been vaccinated. There was a real sense of celebration. It sounded like we were having a party," she says.
"There was a great sense of relief and gratitude from the patients.
"We had our octogenarians, nonagenarians and centenarians. In fact we have a very well group of patients in that age group who have a lot of good years yet ad we don't want them to get Covid-19.

She said that they are expecting to start vaccinating the over 80 age group on 16th March.
"Of course it all depends on the HSE getting the deliveries to us on time," she said.
