Gardai investigate breaches of Public Health Regulations after a number of people discovered in licenced premises

Gardai have confirmed that a licenced premises in Duleek was inspected last weekend in connection with alleged breaches of Public Health Regulations after a number of people were discovered in a small bar within the premises.

"As part of Operation Navigation, a licensed premises was inspected by Gardaí investigating alleged breaches of Public Health Regulations in Duleek, County Meath, on Saturday 20th February 2021," according to a Garda spokesperson.

"A small number of people were discovered in a small upstairs bar area in breach of current public health regulations.

"A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions and a number of Fixed Payment Notices were issued. No arrests were made.

"The COVID-19 Pandemic remains a public health crisis and An Garda Síochána continues to appeal to all citizens to comply with Public Health Guidelines and Regulations in order to save lives.
