Siobhan Rutledge in the number one slot at Dundalk

Talented Meath apprentice jockey Siobhan Rutledge is now two from two for trainer Tony Martin.

That translates into two wins from two outings for the Meath trainer who utilised the Ashbourne woman this evening at Dundalk to score on Drakensburg in a handicap.

Last Friday Rutledge partnered the Martin-trained The Mouse Doctor to victory and this evening added another winner to her tally with a display that drew rich praise from the trainer.

“Colin Keane wouldn't have given him any better of a ride and that's the difference when you have a good 7lb claimer," Martin commented in a post-race interview with irishracing.com.

Meath-trained horses filled the first four places with Rutledge and Drakensburg winning from the Gordon Elliott-trained Sister Eliza with Noel Meade's Conor Hogan in third and John McConnell's (Rutledge's boss) Make The Switch in fourth.

Drakensburg is in at Dundalk next Wednesday and if the seven-year-old gets a run Rutledge's claim would reduce the penalty for this evening's victory.
