Ratoath Euromillions winner contacts lottery

Last Tuesday night's winner of the €500,000 EuroMillions Plus top prize at Conway's on the Fairyhouse Road, Ratoath has this week contacted the National Lottery to claim their prize.

The winning Quick Pick ticket in last Tuesday night’s draw was sold earlier that day in Spar Ratoath, with winning numbers 02, 07, 21, 29, 33.

Noel Conway and his family have owned the busy Spar store in Ratoath since 1977.

He said: "I’ve worked in the shop since day one so it really is lovely to hear that one of our customers is waking up to the news that they are now half a million euro richer. We are a busy shop as we employ over 30 members of staff so I know there will be a great buzz around the store and community.”

Today (Tuesday), a National Lottery spokesperson stated: “We can confirm that we have been contacted by the lucky ticket holder and arrangements are currently being made for the prize to be claimed. Due to the current travel restrictions, the winner will claim their prize from their own home via an approved postal process. “

Euromillions €500,000 prizes have been won in Day Today newsagents, Johnstown, Navan, and Lidl Trim in the past year.
