Death of Yvette Cassidy, mother of cyclist Phil

The death has occurred of Yvette Cassidy, mother of double Ras Tailteann-winning cyclist, Phil.

Mrs Cassidy (née Cavalier) of The Clovers, Beechpark Avenue, Castleknock and formerly of Main Street, Clonee, died on Monday at Mount Hybla Nursing Home, Castleknock.

A native of Whitstable, Kent, UK, where she grew up with her sisters Doreen, Vera, Daphne, Ann and her parents George and Edith, she is wife of Athboy native Paddy Cassidy, and is also survived by their family, Brendan, Philip, Patrick, Sarah, Val, and Graham. She was predeceased by her son, David.

Yvette will be sadly missed by her loving family, grandchildren, Mark, Lisa, Molly, Ben, Louise, Aoife, Donnacha, Brendan, Seán, Amy, Conor, Joe and Becky, great-grandchildren Hayden, Will, Daniel and Fergal, relatives, neighbours and friends.
