Sports funding information webinar-sign up with Meath LSP

Want some information, especially what not to do, on applying for funds through the 2021 Sports Capital Programme (SCP) - closing date for applications is Monday 1st March, but you have to register first - read on if interested.

Meath Local Sports Partnership have engaged the services of 2into3 Consultants to deliver an information session to clubs, sporting bodies and schools who wish to submit an application for this year`s Sports Capital Programme (SCP).

The information session could provide would-be applicants with valuable insight about the Dos and Don'ts of completing the application process and help reduce the number of invalid applications.

The SCP is operated by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media and provides grants to assist clubs/organisations under the following headings:

Development or refurbishment of sports facilities (max €150,000), or

With the provision of non-personal & maintenance sports equipment (capped at €30,000).

Grants are available to voluntary, not-for profit sports clubs, community groups, National Governing Bodies (NGB’s) of sport and local authorities.

Third level colleges, Education and Training Boards (ETBs) and schools may only apply for funding jointly with sports clubs or organisations. See https://www.sportscapitalprogramme.ie/ for more information.

Prior to making an application - clubs and must be registered through the Sports Capital Programme online system (portal) -OSCAR.

This is the only way to apply for grants under the Sports Capital Programme.

This portal is used to apply for funding and manage the drawdown of grants.

The deadline for registration (OSCAR) is 5pm on Monday 15th February 2021.

Deadline for applications is 5pm on Monday 1st March 2021.
