Graham Reilly retires from inter-county football
Another Meath player has announced his retirement from inter-county football with Graham Reilly announcing his decision on his Facbook page earlier today.
The St Colmcille's clubman was a hugely popular player with the supporters .
He was also a recipient of a monthly Meath Sports Award at the 2010 Meath Chronicle annual awards at Knightsbrook Hotel, Trim.
Meath manager at the time, Eamonn O'Brien, was also the recipient of an achievement award that year as was another player, Joe Sheridan.
Graham Reilly wrote on his Facebook page this morning
Well folks, the time has come for me to announce my retirement form intercounty football.
Where to start, from u14 development squads to making my senior Meath debut at 18 it was just a dream come true.
As a young lad I always wanted to represent my county and for 12 years at senior level I got to do that.
It has being an honour and privilege to put on the green and gold Jersey on so many occasions.
There so many people I would like to thank, my dad and Mam for driving me all over the county for years, my family and friends, my club St Colmcille's for being there on and off the pitch for me.
The supporters for sticking with me and the team trough good and bad times, and all the management staff and players I played with for so many years.
I have made some brilliant friends and memories.
The highlight for me was to captain my side in 2017 an honour I will never forget.
For now I wanna wish the current Meath side all the best for the future.
Thanks for all the memories
