Meath v Offaly at 2pm in Parnell Park on 3rd January

Meath minor football manager John McCarthy will have plenty of football-related topics to focus his attention over Christmas.

Meath will play double-chasing Offaly in the Leinster MFC final at Parnell Park on Sunday 3rd January at 2pm. Offaly are also chasing a MHC hurling title.

The referee for that decider is David Fedigan.

Meath made it to the final with a deserved 2-10 to 1-7 win against Laois at Pairc Tailteann on Saturday.

Offaly travelled to Newbridge for the other semi-final and defeated Kildare by 2-10 to 2-7 to qualify for their first provincial final in a decade.

Offaly will be bidding for a double that weekend in what will be a busy two days for Leinster GAA officials.

They also have the MHC final on Saturday 2nd January at O'Moore Park, Portlaoise between Offaly and Kilkenny.

A third final is also scheduled with the Leinster u-20 HC final on Sunday 3rd January at O'Moore Park between Dublin and Galway at 4pm.
