Sean Boylan on board with Down u-20s

Sean Boylan continues his love-affair with all things GAA with the news this evening that he will be part of the management team for the Down under-20s.

Down GAA tweeted this evening:

Down GAA County Committee have confirmed the appointment of Conor Laverty as the new U20 Football manager.

The Kilcoo club man will be joined on the management team by Martin Clarke, Declan Morgan and Sean Boylan.

Sean Boylan was at the helm of Meath football for 23 years and stepped down from the role in 2005.

During his tenure Meath won the Centenary Cup in 1984 as well as the All-Ireland SFC title in 1987 when the original Sam Maguire Cup was presented for the last time.

Boylan's Meath won the new Sam Maguire when it was presented for the first time in 1988 to complete a unique double and Meath went on to win that trophy again in 1996 and 1999.

Meatha lso won three National Football League titles and eight Leinster SFC titles during Boylan's reign..
