Colin Keane now level with Shane Foley - 72 each

The race for the 2020 flat jockeys' title has developed into a two-horse race with Shane Foley making the running and Colin Keane playing catch up and drawing level today at Fairyhouse.

Foley and Keane are now tied on 72 winners each, but Keane can forge ahead at Dundalk tomorrow night if he can manage at least one winner - Foley is serving the second day of a two-day suspension he picked up Naas.

However, Foley will return to action at Tipperary on Saturday where he can get the lead as Keane will be in action at Newmarket for trainer Johnny Murtagh in the Kingdom Of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes (Fillies' And Mares' Group 1) on board Champers Elysees.

At Fairyhouse it was on the Ger Lyons-trained Avarice that Trim man Keane got the winner that gave him number 72 for the season.
