Trainer Gerry Keane could afford to laugh if he wanted after yesterday's win at the Curragh.

Laughifuwant delivers another big win

Well-named for a horse that they couldn't sell and decided to keep in training, Laughifyouwant yesterday added another big race victory for Trim trainer Gerry Keane and owners Ester (trainer's wife) and Fergus and Sandra Cumiskey (breeders).

It was a real family success with Colin Keane (son) on board for a 14/1 victory in the Paddy Power Irish Cambridgeshire at the Curragh yesterday.

A first outing of 2020 saw Laughifuwant hike top weight in the Ahonoora Handicap at Galway at the beginning of August.

Yesterday at the Curragh the going was ideal with soft ground the key and the trainer suggested that a premier handicap at Leopardstown as the next target.

It was real Meath-themed finish as Laughifuwant won from the Sheila Lavery-trained duo of Quizical and Breaking Story.

Twelve months ago Laughifuwant gave the trainer his biggest winner in terms of prizemoney when landing the Ahonoora Handicap at Galway and over €70,000 in prizemoney.

Total winnings now for the five-year-old (win and place) amount to €150,000 when yesterday's €45,000 is added to the pot - not bad going.
