Funeral details for James Baugh

The funeral of James (Jimmy) Baugh, the Dunshaughlin Community College schoolteacher who died in a road traffic collision in Crossakiel on Sunday night will take place on Thursday in Kilskyre.

The 25 year-old was passenger in a van being driven by a second young man who was taken to hospital in a serious condition. Mr Baugh was taken to Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan, in a critical condition, but later died there.

Tributes have been flowing in to the Ballinlough footballer and Kilskyre/Moylagh hurler from his clubs, and from parents, colleagues and students at Dunshaughlin Community College, where he taught history and religion, as well as from his other GAA clubs.

Jimmy is survived by his parents, Billy and Mary; sister, Susan, aunts, uncles, relatives, team mates, work colleagues, and his wide circle of friends. He is reposing at his residence on Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm, with removal on Thursday morning for Funeral Mass at 12 noon in St Alphonsus Liguori Church, Kilskyre. Burial takes place afterwards in the adjoining cemetery, with Covid-19 restrictions in place.
