O'Growney National School closed

O'Growney National School in Athboy is closed to all children today.
The Parents Association Facebook Page posted about the closure this morning and in the past few minutes posted; "Dear Parents, We have closed the school as a precaution and are waiting further instructions from The HSE.
The closure has given rise to intense speculation among parents who are asking why the decision was taken to close the school.
We have tried to contact O Growney National School for comment.
Meanwhile, another school in the county wrote to parents today, noting that "a primary school in Meath has closed as a precaution, around coronavirus, today."
That school was clear that they were unaware of any possible infections in their school which will remain open unless the HSE directs otherwise stated.
A spokesperson for the HSE said they are not commenting on individual cases or actions of preparedness.
Meanwhile, there have now been two confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country. The HSE confirmed last night, that a female patient from the east of the country is the latest patient to be identified as having the virus.
