All-Ireland semi next on the radar for St Pat's students
St Patrick’s CS, Navan won the Leinster Schools JFC title with a comprehensive 2-14 to 0-8 victory over Good Counsel at Portlaoise on Thursday.
This was an excellent performance by the Meath students and avenged a 21-point reversal in a Leinster Juvenile semi-final against Good Counsel at Athy in 2018.
The action unfoleded in the shadow of O’Moore Park, in almost perfect conditions, and a sizeable crowd witnessed an emphatic turnaround in fortunes that earned St Pat's a first Leinster title in this grade since 2012.
See next Tuesday's Meath Chronicle for a full report on the game by John Twomey and a photo of the winning panel.
Next up for St Patrick's CS is the All-Ireland series against Derry opposition, St Pat’s Maghera on Saturday 7th March.
