Ratoath AC u-14 girls

Young Ratoath athletes in good form

Ratoath AC enjoyed success at the All-Ireland cross-country relays at Rathdrum where they had five teams in action at various age categories.

The u-12 girls team of Amber Lane, Ava Doran, Lucy Mooney and Aisling Claire took the title and the u-14 girls were also successful with Niamh Murphy, Katie Doherty, Eve Mooney and Caoimhe Fitzsimons doing the business.

The boys -12 race was a much tighter affair with five teams battling for the top three spots from gun to tape and while Ratoath had to settle for fifth the team of Senan Lynch, Matthew Lynch, Nathan Mooney and Emmet Doyle gave a spirited performance.

Ratoath's second u-14 girls team also put in a strong performance to claim fifth position with excellent running from Sarah Forde, Mary Kate Prior, Kate Raftery and Mila Downey.

The u-14 boys, Harry Bogan, Jack Kelly, James Kelly and Fionn Heffernan, also took fifth while Finian Mooney was the club's only competitor in the B cross-county championships.
