Book of condolences for Saoirse Kennedy Hill opens in Trim

Trim Tourism Network has opened the book of condolences for Saoirse Kennedy Hill at the Dot Tubridy exhibition at Trim Visitor centre.

Saoirse, daughter of Paul Hill and Courtney Kennedy Hill, and granddaughter of Robert and Ethel Kennedy, died last week at the family's compound in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts.

Any messages or cards will then be forwarded to Saoirse's mother, Courtney. The flowers are displayed in the Waterford Crystal bowl which was one of the two specially commissioned and donated by Waterford Crystal for the opening of our 'Dear Dot exhibition. The sister bowl now resides at the Kennedy home in USA.

Trim Tourism Network states: "The Kennedy family showed immense support for Trim in May to commemorate Dot Tubridy and her local connection. This is just a small gesture at a very difficult time for Trim to show our support for Courtney and all the Kennedy's and not forgetting Saoirse's father Paul Hill. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.
"Trim Tourism Network would like to offer our heartfelt condolences to Courtney Kennedy Hill on the passing of her daughter Saoirse. Courtney and her cousin Sydney cut the ribbon on the opening of our 'Dear Dot' exhibition (Courtney's Godmother, Dot Tubridy) in Trim in May. Their presence in Trim created a massive buzz for the town and many locals got to meet members of 'Irish Royalty ' that week. Our thoughts and prayers are with Courtney, the Kennedy family and for Saoirse at this difficult time."

The book of condolences  will be open from 9.30pm-5pm Tuesday to Friday.
