A sample of a club lotto ticket

Lot of cash to be won through local clubs

A quick glance at the A-Z pages in the Meath Chronicle this week with a focus on the club lotto results shows there is some sizeable jackpots on offer.

The lotto / blotto draws form a crucial part of fundraising on a weekly basis for the clubs and topping the list at the moment in terms of money that can be won in the next seven days is Kilmainhamwood GAA club with the fund at €14,200.

The next draw will take place next Monday night in Keogan's at 9pm - 1st April.

(Don't rule out someone who might impersonate a hard-working club official making a telephone call of sending a message via the various social media platforms with some news about the result of the draw?)

Also offering sizeabale jackpots are Castletown and Bective GAA clubs.

Castletown and St Michael's have also added a consolation prize of a Meath GAA Royal County House Draw ticket to patrons.

Last week in the Castletown draw Sarah Mahon won such a ticket while last night Michelle Smyth was the recipient.

The next Meath GAA house draw is scheduled for Saturday 28th September and Meath Co Board will have an official launch of the second draw on Tuesday next, April 2nd at 10.00am.

The launch will take place in Cluain Adain (Navan) at the three-bedroom house that will be the prize in September.

Many clubs also provide an online option to support their efforts
