PictureHouse reunite for Skryne studio recording

Ahead of their upcoming show in The Academy on November 23rd, PictureHouse have released a re-recorded live version of their 1998 hit 'Love in the Streets'.

Recorded by the band in Stuart Gray's Jealoustown studio in Skryne, the live recording was the first time that all five original members of Picture House - Dave Browne, Duncan Maitland, Geoff Woods, Aongus Ralston and Johnny Boyle have performed together in over 19 years.

The band said of the reunion: "I always hoped it would come around at some point, with the original line up and to play those songs again, Give them a good airing! It's just like having the family back together!"

This year marks the 20th anniversary of  'Karmarama' - which went gold in Ireland after a string of hit singles including 'Sunburst', 'Love in the streets', 'All the time in the world' and 'Only a friend'. 'Karmarama' was start of an eventful time for PictureHouse which included stadium tours with the like of The Corrs and Meatloaf whilst also headlining their own tours which included sold out shows in The Olympia, The Point Depot and Shepherd's Bush Empire amongst hundreds of venues.

Tickets for the show in The Academy are on sale now from Ticketmaster.ie and support on the night will be indie act Inhaler.
