Meath's Christy Ring Cup opener v London


Hurling enthusiasts in Meath will have plenty of action to savour in 2019 with the Royal County set to tackle London in their first game back in the Christy Ring Cup.

Relegated from the Joe McDonagh Cup this year, Meath also dropped down from the Walsh Cup to the Kehoe Cup with the
action in that set for a late January start.

GROUP 2

Meath v London; Roscommon v KIldare.
KIldare v Meath; LOndon v Roscommon.
Roscommon v Meath; LOndon v KIldare.
GROUP 1
Donegal v Wicklow; Down v Derry.
Derry v Donegal; Wicklow v Down.
Donegal v Down; Derry v Wicklow.

FORMAT

Two groups of four teams.

Group games to be played on a ‘round-robin’ basis.

The top two teams in each group shall quality for the semi-finals in which the winner of each group shall play the runner-up of the other group.

The winner of the Christy Ring Cup shall be promoted to the Joe McDonagh Cup.

The bottom team in each group shall play-off and the loser shall be relegated to the Nicky Rackard Cup.

Venues for all finals, semi-finals and relegation play-offs shall be determined by the Central Competitions Control Committee.
