Minor hurlers host Offaly in Trim

Nine Leinster counties will set out on the trail of a Leinster MHC title this weekend with Ulster ingredients added to the mix by Antrim and Down.

Apart from Longford, Louth and Wicklow, all the other Leinster counties will be aiming to make an impact in the graded championship that will be played on a round robin basis before the knock-out element.

All the Tier 2 and Tier 3 teams (Meath Tier 2) are guaranteed preliminary quarter-final berths.

However, the top team in Tier 2 will progress directly to the quarter-final proper with the reward a home tie against the fourth-placed Tier 1 team which will be one of Kilkenny, Dublin, Laois or Wexford.

Three preliminary quarter-finals will feature the second, third and fourth-placed Tier 2 teams away to third, second and first-placed Tier 3 teams respectively.

Meath will host Offaly on Saturday followed by a home game against Antrim on Saturday 19th May and a trip to Newbridge to play Kildare in the final group game on Friday evening 25th May.

The Meath team is
