Shipp and McFadden going well

Young Headfort golfer Evan Shipp is six shots off the leader after today's Leinster Boys u-16 Amateur Open Golf Championship  first round at Beaverstown GC.

Shipp returned a 77 for his first round while a second Headfort golfer is also going well with Cian McFadden on 78 after day one.

Royal Tara's Shaun Mulryan and Matthew Cully didn't qualify.

The competitions takes place from Thursday 29th March – Friday 30th March
