Arrest following Navan drugs seizure


Drugs with a estimated street value of €25,000 have been recovered and an arrest made following a number of planned searches around Navan by Gardai.

The Garda Mounted Unit are carrying out patrols in Navan town centre as part of a two-day high-visibility policing operation which is associated with Operation Thor. 

The operation also involves a number of high profile armed multi-agency checkpoints which are carried out in conjunction with Customs, Department of Social Welfare and the National Transport Authority.

 One person was arrested and is currently detained at Navan Garda Station
