Trim edge out Clanns as two see red

Trim made it three wins from three games as they defeated Clann na nGael 3-15 to 0-16 at Kildalkey today.

Both sides finished a man down with Alan Douglas sent off for Trim and Clann na nGael's Aaron Ryan also seeing red. Both were dismissed near the end.

With the help of goals from Neil Heffernan and Sean McGee Trim led 2-9 to 0-8 at the interval and while they continued to add to their account it was far from easy for them against gritty Clann na nGael side.

Ciaran Joyce grabbed the Trim goal after a Brian Dowling shot rebounded off the upright.

Clann na nGael had some excellent performances with Eamonn Ó Donnchadha helping himself to six points to cap a fine display, five from frees.  Aaron Ennis, Darragh Brogan and the outstanding Ciaran Fitzsimons were also among their scorers.
