Punters Backing Meath’s Leah Barniville to win BGT semi-final tonight

Britain’s Got Talent semi-final 1 winners, DNA have seen their odds to win the title drastically shorten off the back of their triumph. The mindreading duo were priced at 20/1 ahead of their semi-final performance, but were instantly cut to 8/1, placing them joint third in the betting alongside pianist Tokio Myers, following their extraordinary act.
Also making it through from Monday’s semi-final was David Walliams’ Golden Buzzer act, Kyle Tomlinson, who sang a rendition of Adele’s ‘When We Were Young’, however he has been eased out to 16/1 from 9/1 to win.
Tuesday’s semi-final 2 is a close affair with mini Magician Issy Simpson the 2/1 favourite to win with powerhouse songstress Leah Barniville, from Ratoath, hot on her heels at 12/5. Ant and Dec’s Golden Buzzer act comedic magician Matt Edwards is following closely behind at 5/2 with singer Harry Gardner priced at 9/2.
The remaining acts, Destiny Chukunyere (10/1), Grace and Ali (25/1), DJ Dizzy Twilight (50/1), Taptastik (50/1) all appear to be outsiders to win
Aoife Heffron, Spokeswoman for BoyleSports commented “Tonight’s semi-final sees a battle of the magicians and singers as little Issy Simpson edges favouritism to come out on top with her sleight of hand skills, but Meath native Leah Barniville is breathing down her neck at 12/5 to take the semi-final 2 title. We have of course seen a lot of patriotic support come pouring in for Leah to win tonight, especially around the Meath area.”
She added: “DNA are now firm contenders for the BGT title after their odds were slashed from 20/1 to their current price of 8/1 following their semi-final win. However, Missing People Choir remains the ones to beat at 7/4.”
