Elizabeth Cooney brings top musicians to Solstice

Elizabeth Cooney is well known to Irish audiences as a leading violinist of her generation. She has toured as soloist with the RTE National Symphony Orchestra to packed houses around the country and has recorded for BBC Radio 3, Lyric FM and RTE TV. Now based in London, she performs internationally as a soloist and brings together six of Ireland and the UK’s top string musicians for one night only at Solstice Arts Centre on Saturday 20th May.

The programme includes two favourites from string sextet repertoire – Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence and Brahms’ Sextet No 1 in B flat major Op 16. Joining Cooney will be one of Ireland’s most accomplished young violinists, Mairéad Hickey, Simon Aspell of the Vanbrugh Quartet, Ruth Gibson, Guy Johnston and Brian O'Kane.
