Waller Cup on Sunday at Bohermeen

Bohermeen Cycling Club will host the famed Waller Cup next Sunday. 
The Waller Cup was presented to Bohermeen CC by Admiral Craig Waller in 1937 in recognition of a time set by four of the club members T Casserly, JJ Garry, J Garry and E Garry, who set a world record for the 25-mile time-trial which stood until 1951. 

Next Sunday the club will continue hostt the Waller Cup races at Bohermeen. 


The racing will start at 10.30am with the A4+ Ladies race over four laps of the 16.5km circuit. 

That race will be followed by the u-16s (two laps), u-14s (one lap) and the u-12s who will race over a 5.5km route. 


Later in the afternoon, at 1.30pm, it will be time for the Senior A1, A2 and A3 races to depart the start line at Bohermeen Community Centre with the A1 race over eight laps. 

The A2 race will be held over seven laps, with the S3 over six laps.


The winner of the Waller Cup last year was Craig McAuley from the Caldwell Cycles in Tyrone,
