Meath impress in Leinster MFL win

Meath made it two wins from two Leinster MFL outings with a resounding 2-15 to 0-7 victory over Kildare at Dunganny this afternoon.

Playing with the aid of a strong wind in the opening period Meath restricted Kildare to just four points from placed balls while goals from Robbie Clarke and Daragh Nolan late in the half boosted Colm Coyle's side to a 2-9 to 0-4 interval lead.

Kildare's prospects were boosted after the resumption by the dismissal of Cathal Finnegan for two yellow cards, but Meath kept their foot on the gas and won the second-half by 0-6 to 0-3 with Kildare managing just one point from play over the hour.
