Big acts for Bulmers Live summer series at Leopardstown

Bulmers Live at Leopardstown has announced two Irish acts as part of its 2017 summer series. Joining Something Happens (June 8) on the growing bill are Hot House Flowers (July 13) and The Riptide Movement (July 20), with a further five nights still to be revealed.
The Riptide Movement have scored considerable success in Ireland with two Number One albums, Getting Through and Ghosts and tracks such as 'All Works Out' and 'Elephant in the Room' have been staples on Irish radio over the last several years. The band have continued to spread their wings in Europe and the US during 2016, marking them down as one of Ireland's most popular rock outfits of the last few years.
Hot House Flowers meanwhile stormed the UK Charts recently when 'Don't Go' reached Number 1 following the huge attention it received from the launch of the TV motor show, 'The Grand Tour', on Amazon Prime. 'Don't Go' was the hit that put the band on the international map back in 1988, bolstered by two huge selling albums in Home and People. While members have gone on to work on various other successful projects, Hot House Flowers have remained a consistent live force on the music scene and remain huge fans' favourites to this day.
Building of the success of previous Live at Leopardstown events, the summer of 2017 promises to be another season of top class horse racing, superb live music, festival food and fun at Leopardstown Racecourse. Taking place over eight Thursday evenings during June, July and August in 2017, the live performances will be preceded by a top class card of horse racing and a wide selection of hospitality options available for everyone from the great value ‘Summer Bundle’ to the premium ‘Summer Party’.
Bulmers Live at Leopardstown has gone from strength to strength in recent years with crowds of over 40,000 attending the summer festival which runs from June through August. International names such as The Happy Mondays, Johnny Marr, Peter Hook and The Human Leaguehave joined stellar Irish performers like The Boomtown Rats, Ash, The Stunning, Sharon Shannon and emerging forces The Strypes, Hermitage Green, The Academic and The Riptide Movement in hugely successful summers at Leopardstown.
Pat Keogh, CEO of Leopardstown said: We are delighted with the line-up for Bulmers Live at Leopardstown 2017; it continues to introduce new audiences to racing and the music adds a really exciting atmosphere to complement the top class racing over the summer season.”
