Easy Tide headlines Backroom Sessions

On Friday 5th August the Backroom Sessions in Navan will welcome local alternative/punk band Easy Tide to the stage. Busy promoting their new single and video 'Tea Party' taken from their debut album 'Ennui' and gigging in Dublin and the north east, Easy Tide are looking forward to raising the roof in the Lantern this coming Friday with their own brand of punk rock.

Special guests will be Chinese Newspaper who describe themselves as an indie/garage band, and to my ears there is a hint of the Vaccines and the Violent Femmes mixed in for good measure. To hear for yourself you can check out their debut E.P 'Spotless Mind'. With plenty of gigs under their belt and fresh from this years Knockanstockan music festival appearance, Chinese Newspaper are well warmed up and ready for Friday nights gig.

Opening up the live music on Friday will be Dublin duo Jeremiah Day and Meg LaGrande. Acoustic music and songs with fiddle accompaniment expect atmospheric sounds and honest songs with a hint of gospel.
