Creative collaboration is at the core of Absolut Vodka’s heritage and as part of its Body&Soul experience this year, Absolut is bringing the world renowned, edge defining, pioneering performance collective Lucent Dossier to Ballinlough Estate. The Absolut stage will explode with beats, drinks, midsummer vibes and theatrical spectacle.
‘Midsummer Nights by Absolut’ fuses the spirit of Sweden’s midsummer nights with Irish heritage for a creative celebration of the summer solstice like no other. The Absolut stage will be awakened with a transformative experience as guests are spellbound by the sexy cirque styling of the otherworldly performance artists, Lucent Dossier, and their breathtaking aerial and stunning fire shows. Their flare will be fused this year by Irish aerial outfit Loosey Smokes.
Over three days and nights, the lush bass lines at the Absolut stage will be bigger than ever thanks to the careful selection and musical vision of Arveene. Some of the biggest names in Irish club culture will take to the stage over the weekend, as the crescendos and drops of the specially chosen artists complement the beauty of the ribbon adorned, maypole stage designed by Burning Man’s Shrine.
Deadbots will deliver their vibrant and upfront sounds to the Absolut Stage, the Irish / Canadian combo have crafted their unique take on vintage 80’s Electronic House music and lush spoken word. Also on the cards is Timmy Stewart, the Belfast born creator of the world renowned ‘Extended Play Records’, never fails to create a sure fire atmosphere of raw energy with the smartest selection of tunes . Music offerings from the multi talented and awesome Greedy Pig DJs, and DJ Deece, a highlight of the Dublin club scene, well known for getting the party started at Workman’s club will be guaranteed to wrap the Body&Soul faithful with a warm glowing hug.
One of London’s most respected DJs, Rory Phillips, will be showcasing the ingredients that made clubs T.R.A.S.H & DURRR so internationally celebrated. Dublin DJ Supreme Billy Scurryis always on point; catch him blending Hip Hop, House and Techno with that classic Scurrydisco edge. Cork’s legendary duoGreg Dowling and Shane Johnson, aka Fish Go Deep offer Irelands most celebrated and original house sound from the Sir Henry’s creators, not to be missed. Lovers of funk and soul inspired goodness, Get Down Edits bring it home by closing Sunday night with one of their classic disco-sets which have earned them gigs in some of the biggest clubs in London, New York, Paris, Tokyo and beyond.
Also joining the line-up is a whole host of exciting Irish talent including Lumo DJs, Kelly-Anne Byrne, R.S.A.G Live, Mother DJs, Claire Beck, Johnny Moy, Donal Dineen, The Dirty Dubsters, Modern Magic, Baz Hickey, Aoife O’Neil, Tiny Choons, Cyril Briscoe, CiCi Cavanagh, Eddie Kay, The Painted Lady, Stevie G, Colm K, Marquis D’alton, Mix & Fairbanks, Ciara Brady, Rob Le Nan, Colin Perkins, Colin Devine, Just Damien and Soul Friends DJ Set.
Ireland’s top mixologists will be on hand to help create the most delectable cocktails at ‘Midsummer Nights by Absolut’ including Absolut Peppar Bloody Mary, Absolut Raspberri Fizz and Absolut Stockholm Mule. To top it all off Absolut will host the Absolut Brunch on Saturday and Sunday where festival goers can expect to be served some brunch favourites to round off a weekend to remember.
