Great darts as Navan action resumes
Play resumed in the Navan & District Darts League on MOnday night last with the league doubles and there was a great turn out on the night in Teach na Teamhrach.
There were four preliminary games with singles winners Curtis Harding out and his partner Owen O'Connor along with Peter Hackett and Johnno McCabe
Last 16 produced wins for Ian Dowdall and Sean McGillick as well as Damien Doyle and Noel mulhall
In the quarter-finals Terry Bellew and Jackie Dowdall negotiated Flan Fitzpatrick and Donal McKeown; Gerry Fagan and Owen O'Connor also advanced.
The last four saw big John McLoughlin / James Rattigan up against Gerry Fagan / Owen O'Connor where it was good darts all the way and Terry Bellew /Jackie Dowdall win over Damien Doyle / Noel mulhall in another super semi with great darts
Final (see photo) saw John Mcloughlin /James Rattigan on left and Terry Bellew /Jackie Dowdall in action.
John /James took the first two games and looked flying high
Then came back Terry/Jackie to pull it back to 2-2 in the final set and Jackie had the chance to win it but he missed double 17 ...it was John that took out the double two to win the league doubles
The orgainsers thanked all players who turned up and also thanked Enda and Teach na Teamhrach for the food and a great night of darts all round.
Next Monday the battle begins for league honours
