Death of former county manager frank obrien

The death has occurred of the former Meath county manager, Frank O'Brien, just four months after the passing of his wife, Dr Eilis Ridge.

Mr O'Brien, of Boyne Hill, Navan, died suddenly at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, yesterday evening (Thursday).

A native of Trim, he is survived by his sister Gertie, nephews, nieces, brother-in-law, Philip, sisters-in-law, Imelda (Glynn) and Joan (Stewart), close friend Brendan and by Frank’s and Eilis’s extended families and friends. He was pre-deceased by his brothers, Tom and Jack and by his sisters, Myra (Courtney), Vera, Joan (McInerney), Collie (Daly) and Nellie (Markey).

Mr O'Brien retired as county manager in 1992.

He is reposing at Heffernan’s Funeral Home, High Street, Trim on Tuesday next, 27th October from 3pm followed by removal at 6.15pm to St Patrick’s Church, Patrick Street, Trim, arriving at 7pm. Funeral Mass at 11am on Wednesday 28th followed by burial in St Loman’s Cemetery, Trim.
