Wines and coins in matthews auction

Over 600 lots of antiques, fine art and modern items, mainly from various executors, estates and house clearances, will be sold by auction in Oldcastle next Tuesday. In the sale are three cases of fine well stored wine from a recent divorce settlement, a collection of coins deceased estate in Slane and property from the Estate of Patrick Shea CB OBE, deceased.
Antique furniture is also well represented, with Georgian, Regency and Victorian (300 lots), rugs, jewellery (40 lots) and a Cartier solid 18 CT gold gent’s wristwatch, as well as Irish art. This interesting auction, which the auctioneers describe as their best of the year so far, also includes fine paintings by Cecil Maguire and Maurice C Wilks. Indeed there are over 80 paintings in the auction as well as innumerable collectables and oddities.
