Premiere of orla murphy work at fringe
Figure 8 Productions presents the world premiere of Orla Murphy’s Remember to Breathe, in the Boys School, Smock Alley, at this year’s Tiger Dublin Fringe. In 2014 a draft of the script was shortlisted for the BBC International Playwriting Award.
Starring Liz Fitzgibbon as Maeve, Raymond Keane as Johnny and Geraldine McAlinden as Doreen, we travel across space and time from Ireland pre-crash to a swimming pool in post-earthquake New Zealand. Recent emigrant Maeve is learning to swim. ‘Swimming messiah’ Doreen spurs her on. But as Maeve battles the water, she is also struggling with an unresolved dilemma with her much-loved father back home. Follow Maeve as she attempts to swim free of the ties that bind…

Other recent theatre role include Marie, ‘An Triail’, ‘The Coleen Bawn’, Project National Tour, and Shannon in ‘Beyond the Brooklyn Sky’, Red Kettle.
Raymond Keane is a Fringe regular with Company SJ's 'Beckett in The City' series which toured to The Barbican, Dublin Theatre Festival, Enniskillen Beckett Festival, New York and Tokyo.
