Survey complete on pairc tailteann foundations

Work on the repairs to the floodlights at Pairc Tailteann will continue this month after the results of a geo-physical survey, that was completed last week, are made available it emerged at the monthly Meath GAA Co Board meeting this week.

That survey was required to assess the condition of the foundations on which the pylon that was dismantled will be mounted, but the state of the other pylons was also checked to satisfy health and safety requirements.

The cost, which could be substantial, of completing the repairs and re-instating the lights has yet to be finalised and Co Board officials are expected to discuss the matter this week.

The development at Dunganny will be completed on schedule with the new building now at the fitting out stage.

The project is due to be completed on schedule at the end of August with the official opening planned for Saturday 19th September.

The six-month (November 2014 – April 2015) financial report from Meath GAA Co Board to Croke Park showed a surplus of €1,200 due to healthy gate receipts from club games and the recovery of some debts that had previously been written-off.
