Funeral details for lorna carty announced

Funeral arrangements have been made for Robinstown woman Lorna Carty (nee Harlin) who was tragically killed in last week’s Tunisian terror attacks.
Mrs Carty’s funeral Mass will take place in the Church of the Assumption, Robinstown, on Saturday at 12 noon. Her remains will repose in her home in Retaine, Robinstown, from 11am on Friday with removal to Robinstown Church at 11 am on Saturday morning for funeral Mass as 12 noon. Burial will take place afterwards in Retaine Cemetery.
Mrs Carty’s remains are now home in Ireland with her heartbroken family who are preparing to say their final farewells to the popular mother-of-two.
The local community was stunned to learn last Friday that Ms Carty was one of the 38 victims killed when a gunman opened fire on the beach in the Tunisian resort of Sousse. Locals are rallying to support her heartbroken husband Declan, son Simon and daughter Hazel and are helping out in any way they can.
Mrs Carty is survived by husband Declan, son Simon, daughter Hazel, parents Johnny and Amy, sister Ruth, brothers Jim, Brian and Ronan, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, colleagues, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Meanwhile, hundreds of people have been signing a book of condolence which has been opened at County Hall in Navan as a mark of respect to Mrs Carty.
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) has also opened an online book of condolence for members to express their sympathy to the husband and family of its long-standing member.
