Izzy b away with the fairies

The family and friends of childhood cancer survivor, Isobel Cullinan, daughter of former Drumree, Longwood and Meath footballer, John Cullinan and his wife, Laura O’Rourke Cullinan have organised the second annual fabulously fun fairy and pirate fundraiser event in aid of St John’s Ward, Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin. The family event will take place at Strokestown Park Estate, close to their Roscommon home, on Sunday 7th June from 1pm – 5pm.
Strokestown Park’s woodland will again be magically transformed into a fairy woodland park for the day and children will enjoy a whole host of fun activities including a fairy globe, pirate ship, fairy and pirate workshops, a fairy outdoor cinema, face painting, bouncy castles, a fun raffle, fairy dancing with Youth Ballet West and prizes for the best magical costume for both boys and girls on the day.
Isobel (IzzyB to her friends), who was diagnosed with a Wilms Tumour at the age of 21 months, and she has received wonderful care from the doctors, nurses and staff of St Johns Ward OLCHC. This event is being arranged to raise much needed funds and awareness to help improve services for children affected by cancer and assist vital services for children and families affected by this disease.
Last year’s Fairy Day was a phenomenal success, raising over €10,000 for the ward.
