Kilmessan turn on style for allireland awards

The Kilmessan All-Ireland-winning camogie players were honoured at a stylish presentation evening at the Ardboyne Hotel, Navan on Sunday night where top Kilkenny hurler Richie Power presented the Meath, Leinster and All-Ireland medals.

A number of otgher awards were also presented to Kilmessan hurlers with player-of-the-year awards for Shane Brennan (senior), Mark Munnelly (junior) and Paddy Lally (minor).

Stalwart clubman Patsy McGovern received the Hall of Fame award and there was also a special presentation to Gary Costello and his wife Sharon in recognition of their sponsorship for the club's teams.

The camogie Hall of fame was a joint-presentation to Margaret Shiels and Olive Doherty who were both members of the first camogie championship-winning team in 1964.
