High kings and gaybo for enfield

Music and entertainment lovers will be delighted with the news that PC Sports and Promotions will host two great Irish acts at Johnstown House Hotel and Spa, Enfield early in the New Year.

On Friday January 23rd The High Kings will stop off at the venue from their nationwide tour while just over two weeks later on Wednesday 11th February the great Uncle Gaybo, Gay Byrne, will be Live on Stage to entertain his many fans.

The High Kings, Finbarr Clancy, Brian Dunphy, Martin Furey and Darren Holden, were formed in 2008. As the names Clancy, Dunphy and Furey might suggest are steeped in the tradition of those great Irish music families while Darren Holden as well as being a wonderful singer is also noted for his performances in such shows as Riverdance: The Show.

Noted for their close harmonies and their “Folk n Roll” ethos the High Kings launched their latest album, Four Friends Live, last month and if any of their previous albums are to go by then this one should chart highly not only in Ireland but throughout the world where they tour extensively. This will be the first visit of the High Kings to Enfield.

Also making his first visit to Enfield will be Gay Byrne, the former longstanding host of The Late Late Show who still has his own Radio Show on Sunday afternoon’s on Lyric Fm.

Gay will present a two and a half hour show which provides a unique opportunity to hear some of the greatest show-biz stories never told in a hilarious evening’s entertainment of what has been described as “a masterclass in comedy”

The Gay Byrne Live on Stage Show is produced by John McColgan of Riverdance fame.
