Celebrities do strictly for breast cancer ireland

On Tuesday next, broadcaster Sinead Desmond, stylist Cathy O’Connor, model and actress, Vivienne Connelly,  presenter, Jenny Buckley, ‘The Voice’ presenter, Eoghan Mc Dermott, solicitor, Gerald Kean, journalist, Charlie Bird, presenter, Kamal Ibrahim, 98FM’s Adrian Kennedy, Fair City actor, David O’Sullivan and ex international rugby referee Alan Lewis a will gather at the Royal College of Surgeons to begin rehearsals for the second annual Strictly Against Breast Cancer event which takes place at the Convention Centre, Dublin on 19th November to raise funds for Breast Cancer Ireland.

They will be joined on the night by chef Catherine Fulvio and editor-in-chief, Melanie Morris along with over 1,000 guests for a gala evening of glamour and fun as these budding  Fred and Gingers dance their socks off in front of an esteemed panel of judges including last year’s runner up, author Emma Hannigan, rugby commentator Brent Pope, FAI’s John Delaney and 'Dragon' Barry O’Sullivan. 

All funds raised on the night will go to Breast Cancer Ireland, a charity established to raise funds in support of pioneering breast cancer research and awareness in Ireland. Each of the personalities has been matched with volunteer supporters of Breast Cancer Ireland, some of whom are survivors and they will spend the next two months being put through a rigorous regime of dance classes by a team of professional choreographers.

On the night, guests from the world of business, arts, sports, media, entertainment and the community will gather on the pink carpet at the Convention Centre to experience this spectacle of glamour and expertise, while at the same time, enjoying a fabulous four course gala dinner and the opportunity themselves to dance on into the small hours, as part of the build-up to the festive season.
