Irish panel to get ready for aussies in ashbourne

The Irish International Rules squad will conduct training sessions at Donaghmore/Ashbourne’s ground as part of their preparations for the upcoming game against Australia in Perth on Saturday 23rd November.

Unlike previous years Ireland will be only playing one test against the Australians and as part of their preprations they will train in Ashbourne on Friday 19th September, 7.0 to 9.0, Saturday 20th September 10.0 to 12.0, Friday 26th September 7.0 to 9.0 and Saturday 27th September 10.0 to 12.0.

Last year Ireland retained the Cormac McAnallan Cup when they defeated Australia 116-37 in Croke Park with Meath’s Paddy O’Rourke playing his part as the home goalkeeper.

The Irish team will be once again managed by Paul Earley and his panel is sure to include many of the top teams that featured in this year's All-Ireland SFC.
