Hamsandwich to remember Nally at Whelan's

Fresh from their appearances with Arcade Fire at Marlay Park, and at the Kells Hay Festival, Hamsandwich returns to the stage of Whelan's of Wexford Street, the well-known Dublin music venue, this coming week. The band pays homage to its late manager Derek Nally from Drumree on the fourth anniversary of his passing on Tuesday 15th July.

Whelan’s 25th Anniversary celebrations continue with the announcement of the return of HamsandwicH, a band who’s initial rise to the upper echelons of the Irish music scene emanated from its very stage 10 years ago. Derek Nally’s own legacy with Whelans stretches back to the year it all started, initially as an independent promoter and subsequently as the much-respected venue booker. Whelan’s and HamsandwicH would like to acknowledge Derek’s legacy and contribution within the venue’s storied history.
