It was one of the big race's that has eluded the Meath man, but hr put that right on board the Jonjo O’Neill-trained Shutthefrontdoor which finished sixth in the four-miler at Cheltenham on his last start.

Golden Wonder hit the front two from home, but Geraghty rallied Shutthefrontdoor on the run-in to win by three parts of a length .

Golden Wonder had to settle for second for Cortown jockey Roger Loughran while Saoirse Dun finished third.

Jamsie Hall was fourth under Ger Fox for Gordon Elliott at 40/1.

Geraghty completed a double in the next race when he won with Une Artiste for trainer Nicky Henderson.
