Arkansas native Nellie Forbush played by (Danielle Williamson from Navan) befriends and quickly falls for Emile de Becque (played by Ronan Walsh from Kilmessan) , a French expatriate and plantation owner, and Lt Joe Cable (played by Kevin Fagan from Navan) finds himself in a passionate affair with Liat (played by Megan Monerawela from Navan), the young daughter of Bloody Mary (played by Mairead Murray from Navan), the local grass-skirt peddler.
