Red Alert as Meath roads blocked by fallen trees

With the Met Office issuing a Red Alert for Leinster, some roads across county Meath are blocked by fallen trees due to strong winds.

The most serious incident reported so far appears to be outside Dunshaughlin, on the Navan Road, where a tree has fallen onto cars, and the emergency services are in attendance.

Also affected are the Boyne Road and Commons Road in Navan, and the Wilkinstown-Kilberry Road, according to contributors to the Meath Chronicle Facebook page. The Trim-Kildalkey Road and minor roads between Trim and Navan are also reported to be affected by falling trees.
