Man dies in Kilberry collision
A young man has died in a collision in Kilberry, outside Navan. Gardai in Navan are investigating a fatal single vehicle collision which occurred today (Saturday) on the R162 Navan to Kingscourt road, about four miles outside Navan.
The collision occured between 2.40pm and 3pm, the car collided with a wall and the driver, who was the sole occupant, was seriously injured. He was transferred to Navan Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The deceased man is understood to be from the Kingscourt area.
The road was closed to facilitate a forensic collision examination and local diversions put in place.
